Flexible ways to initiate orders and transactions: Qpay provides users and merchants a rich range of options to initiate the purchase of goods or services and funds transfers – depending upon type of transaction, its level of complexity and the user’s preferred mode of interaction. These include text, voice calls to an automated system, the Internet via PC or mobile Internet, merchant initiated and subscription based transactions.
One example of how this meets merchants and users dynamic needs is ordering and paying for Pizzas:
- SMS (Txt2Buy) is good for initiating simple set orders. Eg- text Pizza 3 to order a Hawaiian pizza, a Meat Lovers pizza, a Pepsi and garlic bread delivered for $21.95. This is easy, fast – and especially good for increasing impulse buys when the user is watching TV.
- Brochure (On phone application) allows businesses to showcase their products with descriptions and pictures. On board shopping cart allows users to purchase multiple items and multiple quantities.
- Voice (Talk2Buy) is preferred over SMS by about a third of mobile phone users. These users can phone the Qpay voice number and talk to the Qpay automated voice service. They simply speak the code Pizza 3 to order the same thing.
- Internet via Mobile Phone and PC can be used to initiate more complex orders such as that half and half pizza you like with extra cheese and no olives. This is also great for users who want to transact online but either do not own a credit card or are fearful to use one online for security reasons.
- Favourites allow users to set a predetermined order via the Internet. They can then use Txt2Buy or Talk2Buy to initiate orders anywhere anytime using the codeword Pizza Favourite.
- Merchant Initiated transactions are great if the user has no cash on them or credit card but wants a delivery. They can order by phoning the store, and pay via their Qpay account initiated by the merchants Point Of Sale system.
- Other functions include
- Person to person instant funds transfers which let users send money securely to other users anywhere. Great way to pay those small IOUs, or for Mum or Dad to pay their child’s allowance or even to get them out of trouble of they run out of money.
- Txt2Give allows for immediate donations to charities and Subscription services allow users to order and pay for the weekly bottled water, Home Ice-Cream deliveries and even that three monthly Wines by the dozen order!
Funds sourced from Visa and Mastercard: You can pay for items using your Visa or Mastercard. Your card details are not required during the transactions as these are held safely on our behalf by a major Australian bank.
A new patented process which provides an unprecedented level of security: The Qpay system uses Out Of Band voice telephony to secure all transactions. This technology was rated the highest form of security in the Gartner report of May 2006 “State of the Art for Online Consumer Authentication”. Qpay has strengthened this technology even further.
